Description
In the picture, Father Abraham reaches back to assist his beloved Isaac, who, while innocently lagging behind, totally trusts his father. Isaac carries on his own back a little pile of kindling wood for the fire. To the right, a huge tree with two leaves for the “healing of the nations,” tenaciously grips the earth, while at the top of that tree the two limbs offer the only two paths to take when God calls – “yes” or “no.” Below that tree are a few stalks of wheat with seedlings growing naturally in the shape of a menorah (light), inspired from the verse, “Unless a grain of wheat fall on the ground and dies, it remains alone, but if it dies, it produces much fruit. He who loves his life will lose it and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.” (John 12:24). Measure of giclee archival print is 11” x 14”.
