Think on this: “I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of Yahweh.'” (Matthew 23:39)
Pray on this: Father, do a work of sovereign grace and enable Jewish leaders, and the people of God world-wide to praise and worship the name of Yahweh. Grant the recognition that Jesus is Yahweh to the glory of God. (Philippians 2:11) In Jesus name, AMEN!
Interestingly, Yeshua Himself never used God’s proper Name in any discourse which we have recorded for us in the Brit Chadashah (the New Testament). What we DO have is God’s commandment not to “take His Name in vain” (Exodus 20:7). Jim Hutchens may feel comfortable using God’s proper Name over and over and over, but I, for one, will stand along side Yeshua and the Jews and continue to call Him “Adonai” (Lord) or “HaShem” (the Name) out of respect. Even such earthly dignitaries as the Queen of England or the President of the United States would never be addressed as “Beth” or “Barry” — but instead, “Your Majesty” or “Mr. President”. How much more then should we respect The Name of the “King of the Universe”?!!
I tend to agree with you Jasper. Jim has a problem with the difference between The Father.. Yahweh and the Son… Yeshua.
