Think on this: “If you confess with your mouth. ‘Jesus is Yahweh,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the deal, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9-10)
Pray like this: Father we pray that you would “pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication,” (Zechariah 12:10) and they would “confess Jesus is Yahweh and believe in their hearts that God raised him from the dead.” In Jesus’ name. AMEN
Your parsing of the Greek word “kurion” into Yahweh is incorrect. It is the same fallacy that oneness Pentecostal’s follow. Remember that an image is not to be placed before the Father. That is: nothing made by the hand of man. Even Yahweh would not violate his own word and put an image before Himself. Yeshuah is the master for certain. And if one doesn’t believe he is the master they are going to have a problem. He is the Son of God raised from the dead. Praise Yahweh!
I do not believe names get changed in translations unless the translator is hiding the heritage of the person. 2.5 Billion so called by Rome Chritians are still following the Constantine Creed which outlaws our Messiah’s Commands, Statutes and Ordinances. The Gospel is true but without the Word of God, YHVH in Torah you cannot understand the Good News from the 2nd Witnesses..The word and label “Christian” or “Christos” is given to all ceasears and one ofbthe Commandments is to not mix anything of men with YHVH. We have to remove all things Roman to fully reveal and testify the “Good News”, i submit. Prepare to rehearse the Fall Feasts as they have not been fullfilled yet. In Y’shua
Tony Thompson is absolutely correct…the Greek κύριος “kurios” means “lord” or “master” — not “Yahweh”. Although the Brit Chadashah (New Testament) has numerous examples equating Yeshua with the Godhead, even the Jewish writers of the New Testament identified a difference between Yeshua and “the Father”. On the one hand, Yeshua Himself confirmed His identity with the Father…”I and My Father are one.” (John 10:30). Yet, on the other hand, the division between the two is also equally apparent…”that every tongue shall confess that Yeshua the Messiah is lord (kurios) to the glory of God the Father. (Phil. 2:11). To out Western and Hellenistic thinking, this is puzzling, because we tend to think something is either “this OR “that”. In Hebraic thinking, however, this is not a problem. Spiritual themes are often described as “this” AND “that”. The mystery of the Godhead is a prime example. God is “one”, yet He exists in three distinct personalities. He is one, yet He is more than one.
On a related note, Jim Hutchens is so fixated on using the Sacred Name that he ignores proper exegesis of the Scriptures, and — what is worse, in my opinion — offends our Jewish brothers and sisters by insisting that G-d’s Name be used irreverently. I find this odd in someone who claims such a love and affinity for the Jewish people. I do not doubt Dr. Hutchen’s sincerity and respect for the Jewish people, but to say one loves and respects them, and yet, at the same time, be so flagrantly offensive to one of their strongest beliefs by advocating the violation of the sanctify of The Name — is baffling to me.
You couldn’t have said it better but don’t expect everybody to understand it because it was never meant for all and I am sure you know all the scriptures alluding to the fact that it is known by revelation and definitely not meant for all. Thomas in the new testament caught it before late and acknowledged it in word and so did Paul.
