Romans 9:10-13
Not only that, but Rebekah’s children were conceived at the same time by our father Isaac. Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad—in order that God’s purpose in election might stand: not by works but by him who calls—she was told, “The older will serve the younger.” Just as it is written: “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”
Great Texts here! And surely Islam, especially Radical Islam is not really part of the Abrahamic Covenant! The Holy Land will belong to Israel and the Jews… “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.” From the same womb, God’s Sovereign Choice, is through Isaac and not Esau. And yet no one or race or people, can presume God’s grace! And too God will not personally save every Jew, but again only His sovereign & elect people, from both Jews & Gentiles. But again, The Holy Land will belong to Israel! (In the Millennium) Now they are there (in their Land) in judicial blindness as to Christ/Messiah and Christianity, but oh what is coming upon National Israel, Zechariah 13: 8-9…”In the whole land, declares the Lord, two thirds shall be cut off and perish, and one third shall be left alive.” Indeed under the Gentile invasion, but with the Beast and Antichrist (a Muslim?), and surely the Northern powers (many Muslim nations), headed by Russia, the Great Tribulation shall be most terrible… “And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.” (Matt. 24: 22)
Come Lord Jesus!
It may be controversial, Jim, but there are few truths more important that need to be spoken today. The idea we choose Jesus by our own will power (which denies we need the grace of God) is a false teaching. For Jesus couldn’t have said it any plainer: “You did not choose me, I chose you” (John 15:16). Worse, I believe that false teaching is at the root of Replacement Theology. RT basically teaches God doesn’t have a chosen people anymore. That when Jesus came the old idea of God having a special group of chosen people was done away with. Now anyone can get saved ( become His chosen people) just by raising our hand and “accepting Jesus.” But who’s choosing who? Are not all the followers of Jesus included in the chosen family of Abraham (see Gal. 3;29)? Quoting the words Moses spoke specifically to Israel, Peter wrote to us: “For you are a CHOSEN race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession” (1 Pet. 2:9)
