Think on this! “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:17 ff)
Pray on this! Heavenly Father, in this day of pervasive deception and compromise grant your people grace to remain committed to the clear, literal and normal understanding of your Word. Deliver us from imposing some allegorical meaning to what is a clear and simple statement of truth. Grant us a spirit of wisdom and revelation that we may know you better. We pray in the name of Jesus who came to fully accomplish all that in the Scriptures. Amen and Amen.
Dear Dr. Hutchins,
Your spot reports are often inspiring to me because they leave me with hope that there are G-d fearing non-Jews in this day and age where it is difficult to find even Jews, even religious appearing Jews who have such faith and hope for the word of G-d. In this report, you have once again given me an emotional reation of love and peace for the Christian Zionist effort and I feel that you are reading all the scriptures with an open heart for the truth. We, Jews, are often taught to keep away from evangelicals because deep down they all believe what you are saying about ‘replacement theology’ and that your mission is to have us all killed either now or with the war that will take place in the future and that is your motivation to ‘help’ us move to Israel. If what you say is true about what Mathew says (I have never learned the new testiment since that would be prohibited for me to read) then I have renewed HOPE in your mission and you help me understand a Gmara (Talmud) which teaches about the reward in this time for the nations of the world who accept the truth of Torah. It says that the Goy who learns Torah (with an open heart for the Truth of G-d) gets a reward GREATER than that of the HIGH PRIEST. Now how can a Goy get a reward greater than the most holy of holy Jews???
For many years, I have had difficulty understanding this teaching until NOW. I see that YOU, who facilitate G-d’s promise for the Jewish people, with all the lure and pull and ease of believing in non-Jewish ways, if you can overcome this SATAN and belive in the truth for what G-d wants for HIS people, then for sure, you deserve a reward greater than any Jew, who has the Torah and the commandment to learn its details day and night.
Rabbi Yosef Baruch’s words give you high, well deserved, praise, Jim.
Soon, I pray, many Jews will find reason to seek the connection New Testament has with Tanach, and will see continuation, not separation. Then the eyes will open and they will know their Meshach, face to face. Yeee-Haaa!!! and AMEN, we are going to be ‘One Family,’ again. We were once, when Noah stepped off the Arc.
Blessings on you and yours, as you bring Jew, and Goy, closer together; soon to be ‘One.’
Jim,
Yet another, among many, false prophets at your Alma Mater.
Pray for us all as I will for you brother!
Bob Woehrle
Dear JIM…
The smoldering embers in your dark eyes reveal much about your Hebraic heart.
(I once heard a J.C.C. director tell me, “Thom, if there’s a Jewish person in SIBERIA who’s in pain, & you sense it – you’re also Jewish!”)
How well God’s heart is inhabiting… (& empathizing) inside yours.
