What caused Lucifer to enter into rebellion against YHVH? Perhaps it was pride or jealousy. But which came first? Did his pride make him jealous of the Most High God, or was it jealousy that pridefully convinced Lucifer that he was entitled to possess YHVH’s exalted position and the throne? I guess it doesn’t matter. We all see the fruit of his nasty change of heart into rebellion. Lucifer went from being the orchestrator of heavenly worship music, to being cast out and having his name changed to Ha Satan … the Satan … the Great Deceiver. We see his fingerprints all over our world, every second of every day. We hear his arrogant words being echoed in false religions and doctrines, such as New Age, Humanism, Buddhism, Islam, Replacement Theology, etc. We see his strategies being actively applied continually throughout the daily operations of human populations worldwide. Perhaps most tragically we see the manifestations of satan’s heart toward YHVH … even in the synagogues and churches that supposedly belong to Him. Satan’s heart, which became twisted by pride and jealousy, quickly became a consuming fire of disdain and rage against YHVH. And all of the evil we see operating in our world … in nations, in governments, in institutions, in communities, in families and in individuals … began with a DELUSION. It was a delusion in Lucifer’s mind that blossomed into an outrageous DISDAIN for the Creator of all things. Disdain is a contempt held for someone; believing person to be unworthy of any honor, position, respect, value, or acknowledgement.
How is it possible for an angelic being … living in the constant presence of YHVH … seeing His LOVE, WISDOM, POWER, and CONSUMING AUTHORITY … to become so deluded? How could he truly compare himself to the Almighty, and assess his abilities to be equal? PRIDE, COMPETITION, AND JEALOUSY set the stage for a massive DELUSION. When there is a lack of the Fear of the Lord, wisdom and truth dissolve. Then, a wall forms to lock out truth and wisdom; keeping them from entering into the heart and mind. When the delusion sets in, filling the vacuum, where wisdom from the Fear of the Lord was supposed be, it doesn’t take long for disdain to arise against the One, who is the target of the delusion.
The bible clearly speaks of this progression:
Roman 1:21-32 (NASB)
21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,
23 and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them.
25 For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural,
27 and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.
28 And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things, which are not proper,
29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips,
30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,
31 without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful;
32 and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.
The verses that preceded this portion of the text (vs. 18-20) tells us that the Lord provided an abundance of evidence and revelation of His truth and authority, but human beings shut out that truth. They have suppressed the truth, and disdained it so that they could be free to engage in unrighteousness, and to tolerate that in which fallen flesh delights, but which the Lord hates. In other words, the order of creation … the place of male and female … the miracle of life … the wonder of creation, etc … was suppressed with false teachings of pride and entitlement, so that satan’s rebellions, delusions, and disdain of YHVH could flourish on the earth. Beloved, that is the state of our world right now. The cultures, the societies, the laws, and every facet of humanly generated mores, and priorities display this perversion. Consider the depth of this text:
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
All of creation reflects and announces the truth of YHVH Sovereign Lordship and power. So what have human beings done with that evidence? They have suppressed it, and twisted it by exalting their own thoughts and power over His word, over His revealed reality, and over His authority. Doesn’t that sound like satan’s modis operendi?
Whenever I read this text in Romans, I tend to weep. The offense against YHVH is so grievous and so ongoing! The delusions and the disdain, arising from human pride, and from the priority of worshipping the creation rather than Him, are growing deeper and more invasive every day. When will the wrath of heaven be revealed upon the earth against all this unrighteousness? We really are without excuse. The signature of the Creator is found in our DNA. The power of the Creator is seen in the magnificence of human life from the beginning to the end. All of creation declares an order and a power Source, far beyond ourselves … beyond the reaches of coincidence, accident, or evolution. And yet, human beings DARE to say that we evolved out of a slime pond, and arose through our own abilities to the magnificence that we now possess! How much clearer does it need to be? We have exchanged the truth for satan’s lies … for his delusions of self-magnificence … of his arrogant self-determination and lawlessness. The lies against YHVH and against His order abound, because there is no Fear of YHVH in the hearts of human beings. They are full of themselves as surely as Lucifer was full of himself just prior to his fall from heaven. Being wise in their own assessments, human beings have become outrageously stupid, blind, deaf, and destructive. And all the while, those, who fear YHVH, and who declare His Lordship, His way, and His truth are being DISDAINED … even as YHVH Himself is being disdained.
As much as this reality is a heartbreak for me (and probably for all of you reading this), I can’t even imagine how all this must hurt the heart of the Father. What else could He have done to show us His love and His reality? He gave us an abundance of evidence in the seasons, in the reproduction of the creatures in nature, and in the miraculous mechanics of the human body, etc.. He gave us His Word, and showed us the level of His desire for a relationship with us … as well as giving us His instructions; regarding how to relate with Him. These things were recorded in the Bible and evidenced through the lives of the Jewish people and Israel. Every day He speaks to us through His Holy Spirit … inviting us to draw near to Him and to His truth. How could we not know these things, given all the evidence available to us?
Those of us, who have been shown the truth about the Messiah Yeshua … and who have full access to the leading of the Holy Spirit in truth … are most certainly without excuse. So why do so many congregations, church officials, and denominations celebrate Gay Pride and homosexual marriage? Why do the majority support a woman’s RIGHT to kill a child growing in her womb? Certainly, we are to love sinners; but we are also to hate the sin that the Lord forbids us to practice. The response of people of professed faith, in regard to YHVH’s mandates, is often to redefine sin, or to eliminate the portions of YHVH’s word concerning His laws; decreeing that they are cultural, archaic mandates intended for a different season of the human race. In this way, these supposed people of “faith” have decided that they must only present LOVE, and forget about the aspects of sin. The church’s tolerance of unrighteousness is a blatant manifestation of worshipping the creation over the Creator. Tolerances of rebellion against divine order, and the embrace of all forms of unrighteousness (which have been declared as such by YHVH) are actually acts of total disregard, and an attempted displacement, of the Creator, Himself. This widespread endorsement, or tacit acceptance of unrighteousness (enabling it to thrive and to grow in the community) is possible because the “spiritual leaders” of the church and synagogue, have traded YHVH’s clearly revealed truth for satan’s delusions. In this, they have suppressed the truth and become enemies of that ultimate truth.
It’s so easy to disregard the clear instructions of the Bible, when embracing satan’s delusion, because the delusion declares that there is no absolute truth or authority. WE determine what is right, just, wrong, legal, allowable, and wise; according to satan’s spin about human order. Another very popular delusion, operating in the Christian church, is that a very LOVING Jesus wants us to be happy. This universalist, politically correct, Jesus is reported to have died to set us free from the law, so that we can choose our own course without fear. After all (the delusion tells us) that the most important thing is LOVE. Well, someone needs to proclaim that loving unrighteousness, which has been given the approval of society IS NOT DIVINE LOVE. Human beings may endorse lust, fascination, the tolerance of different value systems, and the idea of “feeling good” as love, but at the heart of these things there is a profound contradiction of YHVH’s definition of that word. This inclusive, tolerant, soulishly loving, Jesus is a false idol … NOT God, and surely NOT the true Messiah. But this idolatrous version has captured place in the social justice standards, in the doctrinal decrees, and in the by-laws of thousands of “Christian” congregations. Those, who do this, are participating in satan’s delusion … not operating in the Kingdom of YHVH.
Anyone, who stands upon, who endorses, who teaches, or who declares that the Bible IS the authority to instruct the world in the way to live with blessing … defining righteousness and unrighteousness … decreeing that the God of Israel (YHVH … the God of the Bible) is the Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer of all things … will be increasingly marginalized, and attacked by the world. A spirit of Disdain has been released upon the earth to guarantee that this happens. The spirit of disdain is operating with the goal that every Godly voice of truth, and every influence of biblical faith, will be silenced or eliminated. Disdain is operating at full tilt because of the powerful pride, rebellion, and delusions, which have replaced the fear of YHVH, and have consumed the hearts and minds of people throughout the earth. Disdain is a mocking spirit that conquers through the intimidating powers of rage and control. Its operatives intend to effectively crush the hearts, as well as the influence, of all Kingdom truth tellers. Disdain is a twisting spirit that rides on the coattails of the spirit of Offense, and operates in league with the Accuser of the Brethren. Disdain makes truth appear ridiculous, legalistic, confining, controlling, and outdated, so that truth tellers will be seen as outrageously wrong … i.e. those worthy only of scorn … eliminating them from any possible consideration, or iota of credibility. The manufactured humiliation is intended to be so marginalizing of the disdained, that no one would ever want to be associated with their set of beliefs or viewpoints. Tragically this satanic strategy has been shockingly successfully during the past year. It continues to rise and to spread.
I could be so easy to feel defeated while swimming upstream against this current of delusion, disdain, and arrogant rage that is being demonstrated throughout our society. The voices of truth are being shouted down, demeaned, sued, and charged with hate crimes. Intolerance (of whatever YHVH has decreed to be wicked) is now being assessed as the chief sin committed against society, and against the human race. The foolishness of human beings has now become the declared, esteemed, and legislated, wisdom that the world is required to follow. But as citizens of the Kingdom of YHVH, we cannot follow those delusions, or that rebellion. We cannot surrender divine wisdom, and the Fear of the Lord, in exchange for approval by human society … nor to be accepted by our deceived family members under their terms of a false peace. We cannot abandon the truth, which has been confirmed over many years, even if it means that we will be mocked, disdained, and rejected by others … even by those closest and dearest to us. I can’t tell you the number Godly parents (who have raised their children in the love, and in the biblical truth of the Lord) who are reporting that they are experiencing an agony of heart from seeing the delusions in which their children are now walking. Humanism has brain washed so many through media, and though the educational system. Common sense has disappeared. Respect for elders has been replace by disdain in many relationships. A vitriolic arrogance has arisen among the youth at large; causing them to reject truth and the provable evidence of the reality of a divine law, and of a singular divine Being. Too many have rejected wisdom, and ignored the consequential evidence of sin’s price tag, in favor of defending the indoctrinated humanist spin they’ve ingested. Doctrines of fairness have caused the young people to feel that any underdog is to be supported. “Surely, a loving God would not withhold blessing from someone, based upon the rules of an outdated manuscript!!”. Therefore, the conclusion is that anyone who lacks anything must be suffering because of human inequality and unfairness. The indoctrination declares: “Bring human justice, and give everyone freedom and equality, and then the world will be healed and whole.” All that is to say, “Throw out the biblical standards and ALL of us will be free, prospered, equal and happy.” That’s a lie from the pit of hell!
These delusions enable dangerous doors of opportunity and prosperity to be opened to things, and to people, that the Lord intends we keep closed. For example: The Lord told us in the Torah to not allow the law of foreigners to have power over His laws for the Jewish nation. Abba knows, how quickly destruction can come when His law is set aside for false or wicked standards/rules. Democracy only works when it is based upon Judeo/Christian, biblical foundations and values. Presently, Islamic sharia courts are found all over the UK and Europe. They are moving into the US. Foolish, deluded citizens, who disdain the reality and word of YHVH, have embraced the presence of these wicked rules of sharia; enabling them to have authority over and above the national laws when it come to governing Islamic citizens. Sharia rules are being applied as well in business, finance, and economy within western society. Islamic standards are being given these places of influence by humanists as a way to demonstrate their heart of inclusiveness … to serve as a sign to foreigners that they are most welcome to live in the freedom of their own cultural expressions. After all … every way is OK … except for the biblical way! Islam is FAR more than a religion, or a cultural expression. It is an organized system of societal takeover and control, with the intention to eliminate western and biblical values, standards, modalities, practices, and beliefs. Is Islam equally generous and inclusive? Just try to displace sharia law in an Islamic country by using the humanist ideology that everyone has the right (according to equal fairness standards), to their own cultural way of operating. Humanism may say that there is not ONE WAY to God, but they will soon find out that the rules of sharia, which they are facilitating, are TOTALLY ONE WAY … to the point of eliminating all other Gods, rules of governance, order, and operations. How STUPID, BLIND, AND DELUDED is it to prosper an ideology that is actively working to destroy your own system of freedom and faith, so that it can be replaced with their own repressive system?
So why do the delusions and the disdain have so much power to lead people into foolishness? Why are they so difficult to unseat in the face of truth? The key here is that the delusion has tied itself to the ego … to the personhood … to the pride. The ego doesn’t want to be shown to be wrong. The spirit of Disdain works to push back any possible truth that might come through a truth teller, because that truth, if presented, could possibly cause the deluded person to rethink his/her postures or beliefs. That is why the pushback against truth is so vitriolic and at times so violent. The delusion wants to stay in power, because has latched on to identity, purpose, and self-esteem. Humanism requires that people KNOW the spin, and OWN it blindly and deeply, so that they will defend it to the rejection of all evidence of truth presented to the contrary. It becomes a battle to maintain the self, once disdain has entered in to support the delusions.
An additional lock on the hearts and minds of many, who are walking in the delusions, is the spirit of FEAR. What if the message being spoken by a truth teller is really true? What if there really are conspiracies out there; destroying our health, environment, unity, freedom, way of life, etc. What if there really IS one true God, who has the authority to define sin and righteousness? What if I am accountable to someone (God maybe)? What will happen to me if I have been wrong about my declared positions and beliefs? Fear suggests that if you are wrong, someone else will WIN, making you as loser. Satan’s kingdom is all about winning … about competition and about ascendancy. YHVH’s Kingdom is about TRUTH in love. Therefore, fear tells you that us that we can’t be wrong, because who would we be without our firmly held delusions? Disdain can be a defensive response against the fear. Disdain can manifest as a bullying or dismissing action, or a word to seize power from someone, who, might shake up our world with his/her truth. Making that other person appear foolish, ignorant, laughable, outrageous, etc. is a way of keeping him/her from having credibility that might change or challenge what I, and others, believe to be reality.
Indoctrination doesn’t only bring delusions, it also creates blind acceptance without thinking. I recently witnessed an example of this in operation. A bright young man, who has a degree in Agri-Business, declared that there is absolutely no scientific evidence that GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms) are harmful to human health. He declared that he has seen the scientific reports that they are perfectly safe. Guess where he went, and where he saw the reports? He had to take a field trip to Monsanto with one of his university classes. Monsanto is the company, operated by the global elite that creates, controls, and promotes GMOs!! The goal of the elite is to weaken and to sicken the populations of the earth in order to cull them down in number. This precious young man is clueless about the reality of Monsanto, and about the elite. To him is an ignorant conspiracy. I asked the young man if he was interested in seeing any scientific data from Europe (where GMOs have been outlawed because of their destructive effects) or data from the US scientists, that would present contrary evidence in abundance. He said, “No thank you.” Not surprisingly, he didn’t believe that chemtrails were a harmful reality either. Is it mind control? Perhaps. Is it laziness, expressing itself as an unwillingness to take a deeper look beyond the spin? Maybe. Is it fear, that these things might be real, so we will just believe the best, and avoid panicking over something we can’t control? It’s likely to be all three of these things. Having said that, there surely could be an element of ego involved as well. Think about it. Giving blind trust to a teacher, to a leader, or to the news media is seen as a weakness to the wise, but it is a comfort to the frightened and to the foolish. If the conspiracy theories are actually true conspiracies, someone has been lying to us intentionally. Therefore, we have been duped. The ego says to the person, “If that was true, you should have known. Since you didn’t detect the lie, it must not be there, or else you are wrong and stupid.” The soul that wants to push back the shame, and the fear of being deceived, often comes out in attack mode to drive away the person that is rocking his world with truth. I have hope for this young man, who I encountered. He didn’t attack me. He merely gave the signal that he didn’t want to pursue a course of investigating what I was offering. The Lord can still get through to him, and that is my prayer. It’s hard to see people, whether young or old, locked up, believing a lie, and yet being unwilling to explore the truth. It’s painful to see people avoiding the discussions, or shouting down the alternative possibilities, in order wall off their fears, or to defend their blindness. There are none so blind as those, who WILL NOT SEE, except for those WHO REFUSE TO LOOK.
It also must be noted that it’s very painful to be the focus of someone’s disdain. This is especially true when we know that that the disdain for us, regarding our stance on moral issues, is really a disdain for YHVH, Himself. As we walk in the Fear of YHVH, honoring His word, the Holy Spirit helps us to realize the consequences that come from living in blasphemous delusions against the Creator. In this hour, the Lord is crying out through His Spirit for His human creation to change course quickly, before He must bring down the judgments in the form of painful natural consequences … i.e. the fruit of politically correct, arrogant, rebellion against His way, will, and word. To know YHVH deeply, and to love Him dearly, means that we want Him to be known as He is, and to be honored, as He deserves. Surely it’s horrific to be slandered, isolated, rejected, attacked, condemned and mocked when we take a stand; speaking out the truth of YHVH in love and in passion. Hateful words and actions can bruise our hearts and cut deeply into our soul; but we must never allow that pain to shut us down into compliant silence. Satan is a bully. We shouldn’t be surprised that he uses deceived human pawns to bully, to misrepresent, and to threaten YHVH’s Kingdom truth-tellers. When the delusions of others, turns to disdain against us, we must remember that the servant is not greater than the Master. These things happened to Yeshua when He walked the earth, as perfect humanity, and perfect divinity, combined. Why wouldn’t the clash between the Kingdom of Heaven and the Kingdom of Hell cause us pain, as we take a stand for righteousness and truth? It comes with the calling.
When we feel as if our hearts are being run through a shredding machine … when we are feeling helpless, and even a bit defeated in our attempt to present truth to the deceived … we must cling tightly to the Lord. We must give Him our tears and our pain, rather than try to carry these things alone. We need to seek out brothers and sisters in the Lord to hold us, and to encourage us, when we feel weak and shaken. Sadly, too often, the people closest to us, who could easily avail themselves to support us, often don’t. They report being too burdened with their own struggles, to share any of ours. We must forgive them, and pray for the Lord to provide us with that human being, who can convey YHVH’s comforting, supporting, touch, as one, who is truly present (and genuinely invested) in the care of our heart. Remember, though: The greater that our dependency is upon the Lord, the greater He will evidence His strength through us. His strength is always perfected in us, when we are weakest in ourselves. Rejection by the deluded is not a bad place to be, even though it feels very bad emotionally. When we sense that we are completely alone and misunderstood, we only need to sit at the feet of our Father for a while to unburden. From this position, HE will pick us up and hear our hearts; giving the comforting support and direction that we will need to continue on the journey to victory. He will heal those lacerations, while maybe leaving a few scars to remind us that we have survived the battle victoriously. Our pain will help us to understand, with greater compassion, the pain of others, who are undergoing similar attacks. These things put us in closer fellowship with the Messiah’s own suffering.
So where do we go from here? The delusions are pouring out across the planet, and most of humanity is absorbing them readily. Hearts are growing geometrically colder, even as minds are growing geometrically more closed to the truth. Do we just grit our teeth; denying the pain while we keep forging ahead? No! We need to unburden in a safe and holy way. We aren’t super beings. We are warrior children of the Most High. We need to embrace the calling, and to apprehend the provision of the Lord, which will see us through. When people mock me, or rage at me, for my faith and perspectives, I grieve for them as much as I weep for myself (as one being unable to effectively communicate/transmit the precious truth of YHVH). However, the word of the Lord DOES go forth, and it WILL NOT return void, but will accomplish the purpose that the Lord had in sending it forth. We may not see the fulfilled purpose. We may not understand how the trial will turn out for Kingdom gain … but it will. The delusions will increase, as will the disdain against believers; but at some point the Lord will pour out His Spirit, and remove the blindness from as many as possible. We must pray, not only for the revelation of truth, but for an outpouring of a LOVE OF THE TRUTH, which is currently sorely lacking in the world. What we are seeing and experiencing is what the Lord told us would appear:
2 Thess. 2: 8-12 (NASB)
8 Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;
9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders,
10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved.
11 For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false,
12 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.
This is where we invest our prayers of intercession and petition. This is where we declare our hope with confidence as we take our stand. These last days will unwind as the Lord ordains them to unwind. In the end, His Kingdom will be massively victorious, even if we lose a few battles between now and then. HE IS THE TRUTH. There is no deception or delusion in His word and reality. It may take a while for the rest of the world to realize that fact, but in His perfect timing, YHVH will be known by everyone. Sadly, many will acknowledge His reality, and His authority, when it is too late. Therefore, let’s pray for a great revelation and harvest of souls to come in, so that heaven will be populated, and hell will be impoverished. The disdain of the deceived will be crushed under His coming glory. The delusions will shatter. Vindication will come for YHVH … and for those, who take a stand for Him and for His righteousness. Until then, we press on in faith, and do not pick up disdain for our attackers. We entrust them to Him through our prayers of intercession; forgiving them for their blindness and for their deluded acts/words of cruelty. HE IS WITH US when the whole world is against us. We can rest in that truth; finding joy in His affirming presence. And that IS ENOUGH for us to press on in shalom until the end glory comes!
