Truth Report: Shavuot

Shavuot in 2014 started on the night of June 3rd and lasts until June 5th. In Judaism, Shavuot celebrates the giving of the Torah on Mount Sinai. In Christianity, that celebration extends to Pentecost, the giving of the Holy Spirit. The traditional reading for Shavuot is from the Book of Ruth.
