Weekly Scripture Portion

Each week we give a suggested series of scripture readings for the the coming week. It begins on the Sabbath (Saturday) with the weekly Torah portion and the accompanying Haftorah reading. It concludes with a compatible portion from the Gospels and the New Testament.
 
For the Sabbath of January 29, 2011.
 
Torah Portion: Exodus 21:1 – 24:18,  “Mishpatim”  (“Judgments”)
 
Haftorah: Jeremiah 34:8-22, 33:25-26
 
Gospel: Matthew 5:38-42, “Eyin Tchat Eyin” (“Eye for eye …”)
 
New Testament: Romans 12:14-20
