Think on this! “The law will go forth from Zion , the Word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.” … “If I forget you, O Jerusalem, may my right hand forget its skill. May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth if I do not remember you, if I do not consider Jerusalem my highest joy.” … “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.” … “I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good to them, and I will inspire them to fear me, so that they will never turn away from me. I will rejoice in doing them good and will most assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul.” (Isaiah 2:3; Psalm 137:5-6; Isaiah 49:15; Jeremiah 32:40-41)
Pray on this! Gracious Father, you have been pleased to tell us where your heart and soul lies — Israel, Jerusalem and the Jewish people. Be pleased to instill that same passion in us that we may truly be one with you and with Jesus our Redeemer, in whose name we pray. AMEN!
