This week’s guest is author Lela Gilbert. Lela is a Senior Fellow for International Religious Freedom with the Family Research Council, a fellow at the Hudson Institute Center for Religious Freedom, and the author of numerous articles and books. Lela is also a board member of The Jerusalem Connection and a dear friend to our network for many years.
Lela joins us today to share her heart, insights, concerns, and hope about Israel as we near the end of three months of war with Hamas, with no clear end in sight. We stand on the sidelines in America as our close friends and colleagues in Israel suffer from the initial trauma of October 7, 2023, the shock of the world’s reaction, and the pain of sending loved ones to the front lines. Israel must engage in battle while still mourning the losses of October 7, longing for returned captives, and dodging endless rocket attacks from two borders (not to mention incursions in the Judean and Sumerian regions).
Join us for our discussion on how Christians in the United States can help—how we can pray and what we can pray. Learn where we can make a difference and what measures we are already engaged in.
Continue to pray the Psalms, reach out to your Jewish community members in love and support, and raise your voice on behalf of our Jewish brothers and sisters worldwide. The Jewish people are in the crosshairs of demonic terrorists in the Middle East and only a spiritual solution will quell this spiritual war between good and evil—but we must pray and be proactive to participate. Pray for the populations surrounding Israel so they all may turn to God.
