Just a few bits of ministry updates from our end. Spring is in the air, we just celebrated Easter and Passover. The world is slowly opening back up with COVID mortality and hospitalization rates going down and vaccination rates going up.
All good news!
And as life is reborn this spring, we keep in our prayers the folks at Ba’ed Chaim, Operation Life in Israel and the Operation Moses program that the Jerusalem Connection is so thrilled to support. This operation is growing and expanding. The Covid lockdown crisis contracted the ministry in terms of finances and donations as givers world-wide suffered from economic loses. Moreover, the economic crisis in Israel itself made the need for moms in crisis greater than it had been before. But Ba’ed Chaim, ever faithful rose to the occasion and many mothers and children have been supported and life was chosen so precious babies were born into loving arms in Israel.
And as the only pro-life organization in Israel (and Christ-centered) the reach is continuing to expand to bring knowledge of help available to moms and families all over Israel. Their new initiative includes an exciting new bus campaign!
Twenty-eight public buses in the Tel Aviv, Ashkelon and Tiberius areas now have full sized ads on the side or back of the bus saying (in Hebrew) “The heart beats at 22 days of pregnancy. You deserve to know. You deserve to choose. We are here for you. “ And the phone number and website are on the signs. What an exciting message for moms to see! And God can reach into the paths of women and change hearts and minds and direct women to His hands and feet on the ground in Israel—Operation Life who is blessed with the mission of preserving life and helping families.
The ad campaign touched one of the local donors so much that a donation was offered to match funds to have ads run on another 100 buses in the region for one full year.
You can be a part of this messaging campaign! Send your donation (one time or recurring) to The Jerusalem Connection online via our website or mail it (credit card or check or MO) and we will be collecting these funds to send on to Operation Life so more buses in more communities see the message of hope for women in crisis and their children yet to be born—that hope is but a phone call or click away and life is a viable choice.
The messaging on the next 100 buses will be enriched to reach more people more effectively. Please pray for discernment as the Be’ad Chaim team composes their next ad campaign.
May Fear and uncertainty be met with reassurance and tangible aid for moms and their babies who need to feel and know the love of God and His desire for life and purpose for each of them.
Our fight against antisemitism and our mission to comfort and aid the Jewish people means we have a sincere desire for life to flourish in Israel from conception onward. And we can all be directly part of this mission with untold positive ripples into the future as moms who contemplated the worst decision can see the best decision they ever made be born.
