Today marks the 152 days since Oct. 7, 2023. That is 152 days of hostages still unaccounted for. It has been a mere 152 days since women became widows, men became widowers, children became orphans, and grandparents found themselves with no prodigy. Only been 152 days since gender-based crimes became a form of so-called resistance. And in these 152 days, we woke up to a world that has since swept under the rug the carnage imposed onto sleepy Kibbutzim, early morning Shabbat celebrations, and the outdoor music festival goers. It has been 145 days since we witnessed an intentional effort focused on committing the most heinous, degrading, and painful experiences possible—and documenting it with technology.
So, as the world begins to turn a blind eye to the atrocities, rationalize the terror, dismiss the trauma, and deny the evil incarnate, the mainstream media, world governments, and higher education are beginning to justify chants of genocide (from the river to the sea) and go as far as to project the psychosis of Hamas onto Israel and the Jews (but calling Israel Nazis).
