Shandy Shoshani of Be’ad Chaim joins The Jerusalem Connection Red Alert Report during this Advent and Christmas season to share updates on the ministry to preserve pre-born life amongst Israel’s most vulnerable population.
The Jerusalem Connection has long been an advocate for Israel and in this effort, has been a strong supporter of the work Sandy and Be’ad Chaim do to help women, babies (and men) in Israel who are faced with an unexpected or crisis pregnancy.
Shandy shares with us how Be’ad Chaim offers practical, compassionate, and spiritual support to mothers in need, encouraging them to continue their pregnancies. This constant support allows women to embrace the blessing of choosing life. Be’ad Chaim has various centers throughout Israel that provide hotline services, counseling, and practical help to parents and children.
Since October 7th, their clients have included the wife of a murdered hostage, spouses of reservist soldiers, and evacuated families living in hotels across the country. As Israel fights a seven-front war, the stress on parents continues to mount.
One special opportunity to support Be’ad Chaim is to donate $30.00 in memory of a lost child and have a tree planted in the four-acre Gardens of Life in Israel. The Gardens of Life are meant to be a place of healing and restoration for those who grieve the loss of a child through abortion, miscarriage, or stillbirth. The loss of the child is not swept away but mourned with dignity and closure through the symbolic act. Cypress trees or fruit trees are planted to honor and remember precious children never held on earth.
Those who plant a tree receive a personal certificate in English and Hebrew as a memento of the occasion. When you donate to the work of Be’ad Chaim, a garden hostess will prayerfully plant a tree in honor of your little one. All those who plant a tree receive a certificate of tree planting. To arrange for the tree planting, donate online (https://thejerusalemconnection.us/the-gardens-of-life/) or mail your donation to The Jerusalem Connection: PO Box 20295, Washington, D.C. 20041. Please note on the check or envelope that it is for the Gardens of Life the honoree’s name and the certificate’s address.
This Advent season, let us honor the spirit of new beginnings and divine hope that Jesus’ birth represents. By supporting Be’ad Chaim, you are not only commemorating the birth of the Christ child but also ensuring that every child is given a chance to bring light and hope into the world. May your generosity reflect the love and joy of this blessed season, as together, we work towards a future where every child is celebrated and cherished.
“Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter. If you say, ‘But we knew nothing about this,’ does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?” (Prov. 24:11-12)
