Think on this: “I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, and in this way all Israel will be saved.” (Romans 11:25-26)
Pray like this: Father we rejoice on the fact that as Jewish and Gentile believers in Jesus, we are an inseparable part of the Israel of God. Hallelu Yah!
Jim, Please listen to yourself. What you are espousing in this video is a form of super-sessionism…something that you rail against most of the time! You are spiritualizing “Israel” which is classic replacement theology, and you know better than that. In fact, you normally — and rightly — preach against it. Gentiles are NOT “Israel”. We Gentiles who have put our faith in Messiah Yeshua are GRAFTED INTO the commonwealth of Israel, but we have not become “Israel”. As a reminder, the Greek word used in Romans 11:26 and translated “all” — all Israel shall be saved — is “pas”. The Greek word “pas” has the exact same meaning as the Hebrew word “kol” — it means “all, all things, everything, every man, everyone, the whole thing, the entirety”. Paul’s statement, that at some point in time “all Israel shall be saved” is the exact same concept given by Ezekiel when he writes in the verses that all the dry bones shall live and be filled with God’s Spirit — “these bones are the whole [kol] house of Israel”. Both the Tanakh and the Brit Chadashah testfy that “all Israel” shall be saved. That is God’s covenant and promise to His people. It is true that Yeshua said, “No one comes to the Father except THROUGH Me.” C.S. Lewis made this interesting observation: “We do know that no one is saved except “through” Jesus. We do NOT KNOW that one must KNOW Jesus to be saved THROUGH Him.” That is a mystery that God has chosen to keep to Himself, and we would be wise not to second guess His plans for His chosen and the “apple of His eye”.
