Think on this: “Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God…whom the LORD Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.” (II Thessalonians 2:1-4, 8)
Pray like this: Father, we believe your Word that tells us that the Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth and show us things to come. (John 16:13). Give us the discernment to recognize this leading and to act according to that leading. In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
I’ve heard compelling speakers say the rapture comes before the 7 year agreement. It could be months or years before the 7 yr tribulation. The temple could be built either before or after the rapture.
I completely agree with you Brother Jim! Isa 28 is coming at the hands of the “Man of Sin.” I think a portion of the Body of Christ will be shocked when the Antichrist comes onto the scene because they think they will be absent when that happens. However, we see in 2 Thessalonians 2:2-7
Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin[b] is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.
Daniel 9:27 doesn’t occur until after the rapture. So it seems to me that the Rapture of the Church is the next game changer.
