By Michael Snyder—
A new video has just been released in which Pope Francis very clearly expresses his belief that all of the major religions are different paths to the same God.
He says that while people from various global faiths may be “seeking God or meeting God in different ways” that it is important to keep in mind that “we are all children of God”.
This is the most recent example that shows that the Pope has completely abandoned any notion that a relationship with God is available only through Jesus Christ.
As he has done throughout his papacy, he continues to lay the groundwork for the coming one world religion, and yet hardly anyone seems upset by this.
When I first heard of this new video, I was so stunned that I thought that it might be a joke. But the truth is that this video is very real. The following comes from an article that was put out by Catholic News Agency…
The Popes first-ever video message on his monthly prayer intentions was released Tuesday, highlighting the importance of interreligious dialogue and the beliefs different faith traditions hold in common, such as the figure of God and love.
“Many think differently, feel differently, seeking God or meeting God in different ways. In this crowd, in this range of religions, there is only one certainty that we have for all: we are all children of God,” Pope Francis said in his message, released Jan. 6, the feast of the Epiphany.
But it isnt just Pope Francis speaking in this video. In fact, one section of the video features leaders from various global religions expressing faith in their respective deities. The following comes from an article about this new video that was posted on Christian News Network…
The video then features clips of those from different world religions declaring belief in their various deities.
“I have confidence in Buddha,” a female lama announces.
“I believe in God,” a rabbi affirms.
“I believe in Jesus Christ,” a priest states.
“I believe in Allah,” an Islamic leader declares.
Are you shocked yet?
The Pope closes the video with an appeal for people from every religion to talk with one another and to work with one another. Here is more from Catholic News Agency…
Later on, after the Pope affirms that all, regardless of their religious profession, are children of God, the faith leaders state their common belief in love.
Pope Francis closes the video by expressing his hope that viewers “will spread my prayer request this month: that sincere dialogue among men and women of different faiths may produce fruits of peace and justice. I have confidence in your prayers.”
Of course this is not the first time that Pope Francis has done something like this. Very early in his papacy, he authorized “Islamic prayers and readings from the Quran” at the Vatican for the first time ever.
And as I documented in a previous article entitled “In New York, Pope Francis Embraced Chrislam And Laid A Foundation For A One World Religion”, during his visit to St. Patricks Cathedral in Manhattan he made it very clear that he believes that Christians and Muslims worship the same God. The following is how he began his address…
I would like to express two sentiments for my Muslim brothers and sisters: Firstly, my greetings as they celebrate the feast of sacrifice. I would have wished my greeting to be warmer. My sentiments of closeness, my sentiments of closeness in the face of tragedy. The tragedy that they suffered in Mecca.
In this moment, I give assurances of my prayers. I unite myself with you all. A prayer to almighty god, all merciful.
In Islam, one of Allahs primary titles is “the all-merciful one”. If you doubt this, just do a Google search. And this certainly was not the first time that Pope Francis has used such language. For example, check out the following excerpt from remarks that he made during his very first ecumenical meeting as Pope…
I then greet and cordially thank you all, dear friends belonging to other religious traditions; first of all the Muslims, who worship the one God, living and merciful, and call upon Him in prayer, and all of you. I really appreciate your presence: in it I see a tangible sign of the will to grow in mutual esteem and cooperation for the common good of humanity.
Are you starting to get the picture?
Pope Francis believes that all religions are different paths to the same God, and he is working hard to lay a foundation for the coming one world religion.
After watching this most recent video, I dont know how anyone can possibly deny that.
However, there are some religious people that Pope Francis does not like. Just recently, he referred to Christian fundamentalism as “a sickness”, and he made it clear that there was no room for it in Catholicism.
So precisely what is “fundamentalism”?
Google defines it as “a form of a religion, especially Islam or Protestant Christianity, that upholds belief in the strict, literal interpretation of scripture.”
Does this mean that Pope Francis is against any Christian that believes in a literal interpretation of the Bible?
That does appear to be what he is saying, and without a doubt those would be the Christians that would be against the kind of one world religion that he appears to be promoting.
Nearly 2000 years ago, the Apostle John warned us that a one world religion was coming, and now we can see that it is coming to fruition.
Interesting because the Catholic church is a cult. Its entire existence does not agree with the bible.
Hi
I agree the Catholic Church is a cult. A cult of the ManGod Jesus. It was that cult that gave the world the Bible so it is meaningless to say there can be any disagreement between the Author and Its Work.
Catholic Joe
Jesus has zero to do with the RCC.
Every single “church” that claims it is the One True Church is in fact a cult. Anytime a “church” has extra biblical doctrines it is in fact a cult. Anytime a “church” places doctrines and traditions of men above scripture it is in fact a cult. Anytime a “church” places a man in the throne that should only be occupied by Christ, it is indeed a cult.
The RCC did not “give the world the Bible”. Scriptures are not catholic. Not one single catholic wrote one single inspired word. Scripture is inspired by God and was penned, compiled and protected by Jews.
The Catholic church is built on a mere man, there is ONLY one ROCK! The Rock Christ is referring to is Himself, and the confession of Peter’s faith. Peter said “you are the son of the living God” that statement, those words, that fact of whom Jesus is, is the foundation of the Christian church. Not a mere fallible man.
Corinthians 10:4
And all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was Christ.
Deuteronomy 32:31
For their rock is not as our Rock; our enemies are by themselves.
Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my Rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Psalm 144:1
Of David. Blessed be the Lord, my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle;
1 Samuel 2:2
There is none holy like the Lord; there is none besides you; there is no Rock like our God.
2 Samuel 22:32
For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a Rock, except our God?
Deuteronomy 32:18
You were unmindful of the Rock that bore you, and you forgot the God who gave you birth.
Psalm 18:31
For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a Rock, except our God?
Psalm 62:6
He only is my Rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken.
Psalm 18:2
The Lord is my Rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Matthew 7:24-27
“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
I would agree that the Roman Catholic Church, with the Papacy is hardly biblical, but at least their official dogma of the Virgin Birth, and Jesus as God & Man, with the Great Trinity of God are historically Christian. Yet, they are again NOT THE Church Catholic (in itself), that belongs to the true Body-Redemptive of Christ (1 Cor. 1: 2), both historically visible and catholic, i.e. universal!
Hi
Sorry to disagree but it seems to me one either accepts some authority or one takes the Lutheran view that everyone should read the Bible and make up his or her own mind on its meaning. Then Church doctrine can be arrived at via consensus. Even in Martin’s own lifetime that didn’t work. How are we now supposed to get a consensus with up to 70 000 different Christian sects?
In the same way all games need an umpire or referee, whose decision is final so we need a supreme arbiter, namely the Pope speaking ex-cathedra.
Catholic Joe
Is anyone really surprised that the leader of the biggest promoter of apostasy promotes this false teaching? Really?
John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
You should quote your sources such as for this one “Just recently, he referred to Christian fundamentalism as “a sickness”, and he made it clear that there was no room for it in Catholicism”
In reality there are today many worse cults than Roman Catholicism (such as Islam, etc.), though of course today’s papacy is surely apostate in modernism-postmodernism, etc. But we too must admit that raw “fundamentalism” is NOT the best of Biblicism! The true Judeo-Christian Church is always historical (biblically creedal) and somewhat visible!
Love the Pope!! He is amazing!!
How can anyone call themselves Christian, and yet, in the same breath, deny what Jesus clearly taught in the scriptures? If we cannot accept the words of Jesus in the original scriptures as being correct, then we are calling Jesus a liar and a fraud, and there is no hope to find any other words, or any other Person, who can save us. Regardless of how big he appears, the pope is a single man, and in this case, he is dead wrong. There is no salvation apart from Jesus Christ. That is not my opinion—that is what the Bible says.
George Marshall …Well, it takes one to know one. I have been a catholic all my life and that is sooooooooo very far from a true statement. Pity there are people like you in this world that can make such type of statement. May GOD one day have mercy on your soul.
Btw “Guadalupe” I was myself raised Irish Roman Catholic in Dublin Ireland, (1950s), but I left sometime in the early 1970’s, mostly over Vatican II (1962-65). My first degree was even a BA in Western Philosophy, and from a Catholic college. But whatever Catholicism is? It is surely NOT Biblical Theology, so-called “Francis” himself is proof of this!
reminds me of “Pope John Paul II organized the first World Day of Prayer for Peace in Assisi, Italy, on October 27, 1986. In all there were 160 religious leaders spending the day together with fasting and praying to their God or Gods. They represented 32 Christian religious organizations and 11 other non-Christian world religions, including:”
What a clusterfuk
This proves the apostate “pope” is a nut job heading up a “religion” started by Emperor Constantine in AD 325, Constantine called the Council of Nicea in an attempt to unify Christianity. Constantine envisioned Christianity as a religion that could unite the Roman Empire, which at that time was beginning to fragment and divide. This false religion leads more people away from Christ than any other religion in the world.
To be an apostate you have to have been in the truth. For an apostate is one that strays from the truth. The catholic belief has never been in the truth. That they use christian words to describe their belief but that does not make one christian.
If you “love this pope” and think he’s “amazing”, just wait and see how much you’re going to LOVE the AntiChrist.
Those warm tinglies you got from the Obama ’08 campaign won’t even compare. It’s going to be 1939 all over again!
And whether we like it or not – and I am a Reformed and Reformational Anglican Christian – there are so-called Roman Catholics that are “regenerate”, i.e. living Christians! Martin Luther was a one time Roman Catholic, as was his onetime great mentor John Staupitz, who died a Catholic. And was surely (I believe) a true Christian!
*Apostasy has to do with leaving, or abandoning of what one has believed in, as a faith, cause or principles. Sort of a renegade from the true Faith.
Amen! Jesus is the only way to the Father. He said He was! Do you think He is liar? If so, He was not sinless and His Substitutionary death on the cross was for naught. His death in our place wouldn’t actually pay for our sins. Only a sinless substitute could pay for our sin.
Was he a lunatic? The perfect life He lived belies this.
Was He Lord? I say yes! That is the only logical conclusion.
If Jesus came in order To save us from our sin, and He said He is the only way to God, then we must go through Him to get to the Father: He is the Way!
I study Eschatology, the prophecies concerning the Last days. It looks to me that we are in the Last Days. This is my opinion: the Pope looks a lot like the False Prophet and the Roman Catholic Church is the Great Whore spoken of in Revelation. We are witnessing the Great Falling Away. Please folks, open your eyes, pray for wisdom, and whatever you do, don’t take the biochip!
Yes Karen you are right.
