“Forsake” is a mistranslation
Matthew 27:46 is an unmistakable quote from Psalm 22:1 and it means forsaken, the AENT not withstanding. Yahweh the Father is not forsaking the Son on whom he bestowed his name (Phil 2:11) It is God the Judge forsaking Jesus the man who is bearing the sin of the world.
