The sacrifice of life that these Israeli teenagers experienced at the hands of Islamic haters of Yahweh will provide an opportunity for Yahweh to execute JUSTICE. It never ends ubtil the end when Yeshua, The Messiah, returns and when he does it will not be a good day for the rebellious haters of Yahweh. Yahweh’s patience is growing thin, and will continue to do so. The haters of Yahweh, the beastly minded instruments of Satan will all soon discover what hell is like, all the while praising ALLAH. Do you think they will be calling on ALLAH in hell. As stubborn as it seems I believe they will do so.
I was sitting here reading Psalms 88 and 89..G-d is Faithful to HIS CHOSEN forever. also G-d said..Jacob I love and Essu I hate. yet look at the world and the apostasy churches standing with the enemies of Israel..that makes them a part of the evil and they will have no excuse. We know we are the generation that will be standing when HE comes as He stated as of May of 1948 when Israel became a nation. So many scriptures and like in Romans 9 ten and 11 tells us we owe Jews a debt.. The apostasy wil continue till G-d say it is finished. the world will go preach to muslim but not the Jews?? Hard to believe it..but true..G-d’s Word is TRUTH praise HIM forever .
Indeed Dr. Gary Burge is quite politically involved with the Palestinians! He studied at Beirut’s Near East School of Theology (an Arab-Armenian seminary) in the early 1970’s, and there for the “first time”, as he says, studied the “technical” aspect of the NT, (whatever that means?) Sadly he is as you say Dr. Jim, given over, not to the Bible and biblical history and interpretation, but to an Arab interpretation of both Israel’s history, as the NT and the Holy Bible in a “supersessional” so-called theology! Ugh!
Thank-you, Dr. Hutchins, for this good and timely word. What a blessing to get to hear from one who stands firmly upon the scriptures. We need more Christian leaders like you.
I agree with all you said, Jim – but two important clarifications need to be made.
One, the way Dr. Burge frames the issue surrounding of ownership of Harhul is false. It is not a matter of Israel displacing anybody. You would think that the Jews were throwing the Palestinian Arabs out of their homes based on a command from Joshua. The Bible tells us ALL the land belongs to God (Lev. 25:23) and has been given to Israel. But right now, unless Israel has either bought the land or taken it in conquest they just want to live among them in peace. For the do not have the right to take anybody’s home unlawfully. Which is what men like Dr. Burgess would want us to think Israel is doing. Yes, it is all promised to Israel, and it will eventually become so. But until then Israel must be content, as Abraham was, to live as a sojourner until such a time the inheritance is fully given.
And second, we want to distinguish very clearly between what the IDF can and should do to “these “animals” who murdered the teenagers, and what our response as believers should be. And I’m sure you did not mean to imply that Peter was suggesting we should take matters into our own hands. For we are to leave room for the judgement of God. And He will eventually exact justice on them – either through the IDF or some other way. We should then support the carrying out of that justice as righteousness.
Dr. Burge should know that since he doesn’t think that the Bible has any relevance today then neither does God’s promise to him of his salvation has any effect because he has renounced the authoritative Word of God. Also, if historicity determines legality of possession then all Americans except the native Americans should really be kicked out of America. What convoluted theory of legalism we spin and then we apply it on others and not on ourselves. The mother of all examples is Israel. We (Israel haters) force all kinds of standards on Israel but exempt ourselves from it.
It’s so refreshing to hear “the Truth” Dr Hutchins. God bless you and kadima… keep it coming.
