Think of this: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete thorougly equipped for every good work.”… “For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing evern to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (I Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12)
Pray on this: Father we thank you that Prime Minister Netanyahu has set aside a time for regular Bible study. Let the Scriptures impact all the decisions he makes, especially those that validate God’s everlasting promises regarding the land to the decendants of Abraham. Be pleased to move our own leaders to have a regular time of Bible study that our nation would experience the positive results of such study. Thank you Father, In Jesus name, AMEN!
It’s very unfortunate that AMERICA’S leaders don’t have regular BIBLE study in the WHITE HOUSE. I do mean the BIBLE; not the QURAN!
The Bible – Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth – contains all the information for individuals and nations to live prosperous, peaceable, and Godly lives. Good for Benjamin Netanyahu for having the sense and wisdom to begin studying the Holy Scriptures. It must have been inspired by God Himself. As for our own leaders, they are blinded to the truth and snared by the great deceiver, Satan himself, whom they follow.
Amen, Is good news to hear about PM Benjamin Netanyahu love for the Torah. I hear many many times the PM. speak about the Land of Israel was given by G-d to the Jews people.
G-d bless Israel and keep Jerusalem united (I pray for peace in the Land.
Shalom, Rosemary
Hello Jim & Pat, et.al.,
As an Orthodox Jew & proud Naturalized U.S.A. citizen from the Netherlands, I always look forward to your weekly”Spot Report”.
Also my respect & gratitude for your service in the U.S. armed forces to promote liberty and freedom to all.
I am uplifited & gratified with the Christian Zionist movement that you so capably represent. Your moral & financial support to the State of Israel and the Jewish People is excelmporay.
I have been a staunch moral supporter of the ‘Jerusalem Connection’ for the past decade.
(I miss the Jerusalem magazine printed edition – but recognize the reality of difficulty of
the printed media – I would (used to) peruse the magazine during my Shabbes study time.
“Hebrew for the Goyim” was my favorite column.
Torah study is paramount to the Jewish People, as we say in our daily prayers, …”all good works are great, but the study of Torah is paramount to all other good works…”
It is gratifying that some of Israel’s leaders have come to the same assessment as our sages. Truth in wisdom is surely truth. Regular Torah study by the State of Israel leaders is a very positive development. By the way, I believe that PM Natanyahu’s son was a winner of the Jerusalem Torah Quiz. Natanyahu’s (recently passed away father excelled in Torah and Jewish History) so the ‘apple did not fall far from the tree’.
The Jewish People have always had to struggle with the world throughout the ages – and survived – as do Christian Zionist have to struggle today – to bring the light of G-d’s
Torah to mankind.
The “CHOSEN” people of Israel had to bring the simplicity of the “Ten Commandments” to the unwilling world, and that struggle continues to us today. The morality & values imbued by G-d in the simple ‘ten utterances’ as everlasting and as true today as millenium previously.
Praying (and I mean that forcefully with three times a day) for your continued work in being a “light unto the nations”,
Shalom,

Studying the Living Word of God – the Bible – can never be wrong or out of place. You are absolutely correct that all leaders should have the Bible in one hand and their mantle in the other.
