These words of comfort are taken from Isaiah and are especially appropriate during the Three Weeks of Mourning for the Temple in Jerusalem. With her heartfelt voice, Neshama Carlebach sings in Hebrew these words taken from the Bible.
The photos were taken in Israel of recent tragedies and remind us how greatly we need God’s loving comfort and consolation, especially at this time of year.
Comfort, Comfort my people, said your God.
Speak consolingly to Jerusalem, and call out to her
Isaiah (40:1,2)
Nachamu Nachamu Ami Yomar Elokaychem
(Comfort, comfort My people, said your God)
Dabru el Lev Yerushalayim v’keeru eleha
(Speak consolingly to Jerusalem and call out to her)
So sad for a Nation to have to live like this, but God is in control! The best is yet to come for Israel and her people!
As my wife, Tricia and I, continue to STAND & PRAYER FOR ISRAEL AND YAHWEH’S CHOSEN ONES…I RECALL TO MIND A PROMISE: ISAIAH 41:10 { “10 fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
11 Behold, all who are incensed against you
shall be put to shame and confounded;
those who strive against you
shall be as nothing and shall perish.
12 You shall seek those who contend with you,}
but you shall not find them;
those who war against you
shall be as nothing at all.
13 For I, the Lord your God,
hold your right hand;
it is I who say to you, “Fear not,
I am the one who helps you.”
THIS WORLD WILL SOON “SEE THE MIGHTY RIGHT HAND OF YAHWEH, THE GOD OF ISRAEL,
DEFEND HIS CHOSEN LAND & NATION. WE, TOO, LOOK UP FOR “OUR REDEMPTION DRAWS EVER CLOSER”!
