Think on this! “Men of Issachar, who understood the times and knew what Israel should do.”… “You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.”… “Surely Yahweh Almighty does nothing without revealing his plans to his servants the prophets.” (I Chronicles 12:32; Matthew 16:3; Amos 3:7)
Pray on this! Gracious Father, grant that your people will have correct discernment, based on solid Biblical evidence, regarding the days in which we live. Grant us an understanding of the prophetic Scriptures that will enable us to stand strong regardless of the godless opposition we face. In Jesus name, AMEN!
Sorry Jim, but when you say: “We are now under the reign of the 112th pope”, please do not include me and a lot of Evangelicals who left that heretical organisation. I am under the reign of Yeshua HaMashiach, who said: “Call no one father but My Father in heaven.” and “Only my Father in heaven is Holy.” So calling a mere man (the pope) holy father is not only heresey, but in my opinion, blasphemy. For this reason and many other catholic man-made traditions and rules, like with the Pharisees in the time of Yeshua, we have left the “fold” to follow the True Shepherd. Like He said, we are His sheep and we know His voice, and it does not come from Rome.
I agree totally with Desmond (I believe this is his name). I’m not interested with the catholic perspective. I wish you knew, how much evil the catholic church has done to the people and to the Word of GOD, during almost 1700 years.

The Catholics are under the reign of the 111th Pope. I do not accept the authority of the Pope.
I accept the authority of Jesus Christ.
I concur with no reservations about what my fellow brothers and sisters have commented about the catholic church…
i am in agreement that we do not answer or accept any of the apostate values of the catholic institution…and yes it is an institution and that is all… If it was the a real bona fide Bible stomping church that adheres to the black and white inspired written word…then we would acknowledge it for that purpose of what the real church of Jesus truly is. However all these manmade names, religions and traditions are NOT mentioned in Scripture…with the exception of the Hebrews and Believers in Christ Jesus, so therefore calling a pope a father is out of the question…we have a Triune Head, God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. With that said every other so called denomination can just pack it up and go home per se. As it stands at this time 67 to 70% of the churches in the U.S. alone do NOT preach the Divine truth of GOD at all. So i am keeping my loyalties to the God of Israel, Isaac and Jacob…AMEN
Bothers and Sisters in Christ,
Are we not to love and serve our fellow brothers in Christ? Some of the comments above leans towar(s) your dislike/distrust of our brothers-in-Christ. Jesus, the Christ, encourages us to serve/love one another in Christ.
To imply that Catholic Christians are “out of the loop” with our faith is blasphemous at best, and not at all in keeping with the Word’s admonition to love each other as Christ loves the Church.
I am not a Catholic, but be assured that I love them w/the love of Jesus. How can I do otherwise?
James M. Lukes was right on wen he said ” To imply that Catholic Christians are “out of the loop” with our faith is blasphemous at best, and not at all in keeping with the Word’s admonition to love each other as Christ loves the Church.”
I am not Catholic myself but I have many Catholic friends who are born again Chrstians.
Also, I have learned enough from my dear friend Jack Van Impe to understand what Jim is telling us about the last Pope. Christ tells us many, many times that although we cannot know the day or the hour of the rapture, we are to be students of the signs that let us know when it is near. The time of the last Pope and antichrist are one of those signs along with all the others mentioned in the Bible.
All of you except for Mr. Lukes have totally missed what Jim was trying to share with you regarding the signs of the times because of what I see as your hatered for the Catholic Church. It has nothing to do with the church itself. God is using a Christian within the catholic church to explian to us another sign that shows us the rapture is near and that we should be sharing the good news of Chrit with the unsaved.
The creator never changes so we need toget into His word, examine our heart and repent.
What religion did He authorize?
Scripture tells us no new thing under the sun so religion is not the choice, only repentance, turning is all the way through and it began with Adam, for all have sinned. It’s not hard [far] neither does it have to be taught. YHWH is the Master and Teacher, words have been tricky since the serpent listened to the god of the age[s]
Shalom and may we all seek NOW!
Jim, & Brothers and Sisters in Christ;
If a professing Christian follows the Roman Catholic doctrine of salvation, they will never be born-again/saved. The RCC teaches a ‘works righteousness’ salvation, which is not based upon the Holy Bible, but rather Rome’s “Magisterium”, and which is antithetical to the teachings of Jesus and his apostles. If a Roman Catholic is indeed born-again, he/she will soon see the contradictions, will leave that man-made religion, and cling to the teachings of Holy Scripture (That Jesus “did it all”.)
Dr. John MacArthur summarized it best a couple of years ago in this statement;”Roman Catholicism is a false system. It is not the church of Jesus Christ, it is the church of anti-Christ. If you follow Roman Catholic theology you’ll go to hell. I am not saying that to be unkind, but to be truthful. Being truthful is the only way to be kind. People need to come out of that system. It is a system of paganism mingled with pseudo-Christianity” (Oct. 27, 2003).
If you have friends/ family that are in the Roman Catholic church, and attempting to perform righteous works (sacraments, etc.) towards their salvation, please become informed about this Truth and lovingly counsel them. “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness…” (2 Timothy 3.16).
Shalom, and Peace to all who love Him.
“Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem;
may they prosper who love thee.”
(Psalm 122.6.).
