“Know that every human being must cross a very narrow bridge. What is most important is not to be overcome by fear.”—Rebbe Nachman of Bratslav, 1772-1810
How true this is….no matter what century one is born in. We are born into this life through a very small “birth canal” — Little do we know what lies ahead for each of us on our journey…We begin with thoughts of a great big wonderful world — until Real World 101 “checks in.”
At whatever Stage in each of our lives this Reality manifests itself, we are Forced to Face Reality…We feel so “ill equipped” as we begin to cross this “Bridge of Life.”
We begin somewhat covered at the first few steps we make onto life’s bridge — but as we walk farther and farther, the Storms of Life test us…At times, we feel as though we cannot take one more step…it is as though we are overwhelmed and overcome by “the elements” that each of us must bear…
It is when we reach life’s breaking point that we LOOK UP TO YAHWEH, AND WE BEGIN TO SING: “Though billows roll…..HE keeps my soul…..my Heavenly Father YAHWEH WATCHES OVER ME….”
