Think on this: “Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.” (I Corinthians 51:51-52)
Pray like this: Gracious Father, while we don’t know the hour or the day of the Messiah’s coming, we do know it will be in the season of The Feast of Trumpets, in the fall of the year. Grant us grace to adequately prepare for his coming in power and great glory. In Jesus’ name, AMEN!
Some interesting trivia to give you an idea of how fast we will be changed… Did you know that the General Electric Company measured the speed of “a twinkling of an eye”? A twinkling of an eye takes just eleven one hundreds of a second; pretty fast huh?!
I also see that the shofar is traditionally blown on Rosh HaShanah, the Jewish New Year.
