Dear Friends,
Many of you have shared our pain over the three murdered Israeli teenagers: Eyal Yifrach, Gilad Sha’ar and Naftali Frenkel; and many of you liked Inna Rogatchi’s photograph which she produced in memory of the boys. The photograph was published, along with Inna and Michael’s tribute and Inna’s essay, in memory of the boys both in Israel and the USA.
Following such heartfelt support, we have decided to try to make more good out of it, and to carry on THREE LIGHTS International Charity Initiative in memory of the three boys and in support of their schools, the Shavei Hevron Yeshiva in Hebron and Mekor Haim Yeshiva High School in Kfar Etzion.
Both schools are very notable in Israel and internationally: Shavei Hebron Yeshiva is a legendary school in Hebron which is situated just next to the Machpelah, the mausoleum of the Forefathers where Abraham and Sarah, Isaac and Rebecca, Jacob and Leah are buried. The place itself projects unparalleled sanctity over the boys who are learning there. The Mekor Haim Yeshiva High School is one of the four educational establishments in Israel belonging to the Alef Society of Rabbi Adin Steinzaltz, a world authority on Judaism, who personally supervises this outstanding school on a weekly basis.
Such schools need funds for everything from a book to an extra portion of food as the boys are living there and spending the whole days in the schools. With the money hopefully collected due to your good heart and willingness to memorialize three great kids who were murdered so cruelly, we will see into the best way to achieve a double-goal: to memorialize them within the walls of the schools where they were studying, and to provide the means for the most necessary needs of the two schools. We will consult both schools and decide upon it when the campaign will be completed.
We also will deliver to both schools and to the boys’ families special Diplomas of Solidarity & Memory in which we will enter – upon your individual wish – all the names of the people who took part in this Initiative world-wide.
The subject of this campaign is Inna’s art piece – her photography In the Memory Mirror. Thinking on Gilad, Eyal and Naftali (C), 2014 which so many of you liked. The Rogatchi Foundation is going to produce a luxury limited edition of 300 numbered and signed
by the artist prints of the photograph. The edition is exclusive, the author will not re-print the photograph beyond the limited edition of 300. The prints are of a highest fine art museum quality, and in its technique are authored digital pigment prints on the hand-made luxury French cotton paper. Prints of such qualities have a life-time of 150 years at least.
As this is a very special initiative for a very special cause, the prices set are deliberately lower than the usual prices for this kind of work. We did it in order to be able to engage as many of our friends as possible into this initiative.
The prints will be available in two sizes and of the following prices:
A4 in a top-quality matt – 14’’ x 18’’ – $150,- + $ 40 post costs
A4 with a luxury golden leaf between print and matt – $180,- + $ 40 post costs
A3 in a top-quality matt – 18’’ x 24’’ – $200,- + $ 40 post costs
A3 with a luxury golden leaf between print and matt – $230,- + $ 40 post costs
