Think on this: “If I forget you, Jerusalem, may my right hand forget its skill. May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth if I do not remember you, if I do not consider Jerusalem my highest joy….”For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch…. I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.” (Psalms 137:5-6; Isaiah62:1, 6-7)
Pray on this: Heavenly Father, it appears that many of those who know better are not only turning their backs on Israel, but even renouncing the core of their faith in Jesus Christ. Grant us patient endurance to obey your commands and remain faithful to Jesus. AMEN!
I listened to your message about the black banner. What I cannot get over is that when the translators of the Bible translated it into Arabic, they use Allah for the word God throughout – I guess Elohim = Allah. An Egyptian Christian said that in Arabic Allah means God. But Allah and Elohim are diametrically opposed to each other. Yet since it has been translated as it has, it is easy to say something like was said on the black banner, assuming Jesus was speaking in Hebrew or Aramaic, and not in Greek.
Elinor Fischer is “spot on” as our British friends might say. The God of the Bible, the Living God, the Holy One of Israel, is absolutely NOT the same God as Allah. Even a superficial study of the Koran and a study of the Bible will clearly demonstrate to anyone seeking the truth that the characteristics of Yahweh are about as far apart from the characteristics of Allah as any two things can be. I would refer the reader to a two part study called “Is Allah the God of the Bible”, found at the “Love For His People” website. Here’s the link… http://loveforhispeople.blogspot.com/2011/05/is-allah-god-of-bible-part-2-dr-bill.html
“JESUS said: ‘I AM INDEED A SLAVE OF ALLAH; ALLAH IS MY LORD, AND YOUR LORD ~ SO WORSHIP HIM ALONE’.” (Quran 3:51) It’s really there… you can read the Quran “QUOTE” for yourself (from the OLD CITY Banner’s ). The NEXT verse [3:52] continues: “WHEN JESUS SENSED THEIR DISBELIEF, HE ASKED, ‘WHO WILL BE MY HELPERS IN ALLAH’S CAUSE?’ THE DISCIPLES SAID, ‘WE ARE ALLAH’S HELPERS. WE BELIEVE IN ALLAH, & BEAR WITNESS THAT WE ARE MUSLIMS (submitting ones)’.” From that web site above, is it instructive that BOTH verses are left out of the “BRIEF GUIDE” to understanding MUSLIMS? [Scrolling down to “CHAPTER 3” (in orange), then clicking on “What Muslims Believe About Jesus”, nary a word of these 2 assertions appears. A significant omission… or masking of intent?]
On this MEMORIAL DAY, kudos (& dittos) for ELINOR & JASPER’s entries [BELOW]. As per JIM’s telling observation ~ both in the ‘Spiritual’ & the ‘Natural’ ~ our foes DIAMETRICALLY oppose our G-d… & His {blest} Annointed. [Words (& truth) MATTER. Isn’t the ACCUSER’s perjury proven FALSE… from the beginning?]
[P.S.: As a follow-up to the alluded to web site [@ the “4:22” mark of JIM’s SPOT REPORT]. . . . . . let the (deceptive) record speak for itself.]
