Think on this: “On that day I will make the clans of Judah like a firepot in a woodpile, like a flaming torch among sheaves. They will consume all the surrounding peoples right and left, but Jerusalem will remain intact in her place. “Yahweh will save the dwellings of Judah first, so that the honor of the house of David and of Jerusalem’s inhabitants may not be greater than that of Judah. On that day Yahweh will shield those who live in Jerusalem, so that the feeblest among them will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of Yahweh going before them. On that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem.” (Zechariah: 12:6-9)
Pray on this: Father, as we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, we know we are actually praying for the coming of the Messiah. We also know there are other things that must transpire before He comes — including the defeat of all Israel’s enemies. Help us Father to always be watchful and in prevailing prayer that we may have the power to excape all that is about to happen and to stand before the Son of Man. Halleluyah, AMEN!
Shalom, Jim and the Jerusalem Connection is right in target will not be not peace to the Messiah reing in Jerusalem. I pray Shalom coming soon.

A Men [Shalom]
Hey Jim,
I think we all want to see the final judgement because we all think we are on the right side. However, if this is NOT the right time, a war will cost a lot of money and the goals are not certain. Yirmiahu starts off his vision of the pot boiling in the North. I think Gaza is only a distraction from the war of Gog U’Magog and they are only the secondary enemy. I am more concerned about Syria and Hezbollah. Gaza is only a storage place for Iran, but I think they are not the true enemy. Thus, I accept the ceasefire and more violence will result in another temporary ceasefire until we have the Moshiach and the Temple is built (may it happen very soon).
Also, we need to be careful how quickly we pray for war. We are not allowed to do this prayer; that prayer itself may get G-d’s anger started. As for the right side, we learned in G’mara that even the most religious and righteous may suffer due to the collective sins of the others. Therefore, we need to work towards peace and not sell our souls, for nobody really knows how they will fare in this war.
Jim,
Thank you so very much for the weekly encouragement. I know that we are very close to the coming of the Bridegroom. I am praying for your wife’s health daily and hope that she is doing better.

Good analysis of the current situation. How about adding to that “Give Yahweh a chance”.
He is in control and we all know that the end is near, near in the lords timing. All nations will eventually abandon Israel so that the Jews have no other than Yahweh to hope for. That is His plan. The Jews are a nation of people to remind us that Yahweh is the creator of all mankind and he will deal with all mankind. Pray for the salvation of the enemy. That is spiritual warfare. So to give war a chance we all need to pray for not only the salvation of the Jews but the salvation of Hamas, the Arabs and the Palestinians. Lets pray and give War a chance.
Jim – Wars will come – we are assured of that and I also believe that America will feel the effects especially if Hezbollah (Iran) gets in on it. According to my studies, the Psa 83 conflict will be next in the lineup, followed quickly by Eze 38 war. God will defeat Gog & Magog and the Dan 9:27 covenant will be signed.
This kicks off Daniel’s 70th Week. The 3rd Temple will be built and the sacrifices reestablished. Many judgments will befall the land – Dan 9:24. Peace will be temporary during these times but ultimate peace will only arrive when Yeshua returns – Rev 19. God will not strive with man much longer – too much sin, rebellion, rejection of our Holy and Righteous God.
Shalom
