Hamas chief Khaled Mashaal on Sunday called for reconciliation between Hamas and Fatah based on “jihad” against Israel, in a speech in Khartoum broadcast live on Sudanese state television.
“The first step is refusal to negotiate with Israel…and to establish a new, reconciled Palestinian position based on jihad,” he said.
Sudan’s President Omar Bashir said, “What is going in the region is a prelude to the battle for Jerusalem. And we are committed to supporting the people of Jerusalem in their jihad.”
Poor Israel and poor America if these men and their hate filled philosophical outlooks will become the leaders and policy makers in the ‘new’ Egypt!
Today’s (9/3/2011) Jerusalem Post reports ominously:
“A prominent member of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood this week became the first member of the Islamist group to visit Iran, where he praised Tehran’s leadership and denounced Israel.
The New York Post reported that Kamal El Helbawy – a London-based Islamic scholar and Brotherhood representative widely known as the movement’s face in the West – told his hosts he wished to see Egypt become, like Iran, “a true Islamic state.”
“Egypt and the world of Islam as a whole need leaders like President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad,” he said, and “should join a new world order with Iran and Venezuela, plus Hezbollah and Hamas to chase away the Americans.

“Arab League secretary-general for the last decade, Moussa, 74, is the most prominent figure yet to declare his candidacy for the position from which Hosni Mubarak was toppled on Feb. 11 after three decades in power.
A poll on the website of Al-Ahram newspaper last week showed him with a big lead over Mohammed ElBaradei, the Nobel prize-winning former head of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
As foreign minister, Moussa was an outspoken advocate for Palestinian rights as Cairo played a leading role in the Middle East peace process.
His popularity was widely assumed to be the reason Mubarak removed him from the foreign ministry in 2001. To some, the final straw for Mubarak seemed to be the release of the 2001 Egyptian pop hit, ‘I hate Israel, I love Amr Moussa’.” By Tom Perry Moussa hits campaign trail in race for Egyptian presidency
“The Palestinian Authority is working toward removing Hamas from the US and EU list of terror organizations so as to pave the way for the Islamist movement to join a Palestinian unity government, PA negotiator Nabil Sha’ath revealed on Monday.
Sha’ath, who was speaking to reporters after meeting in Cairo with Arab League Secretary- General Amr Moussa, said he raised the issue with a number of governments during a recent tour of EU capitals.
“We are seeking to have Hamas removed from the list of terror organizations,” he said. “We want EU countries to recognize a Palestinian unity government that would include Hamas and other factions.” By Khaled Abu Toameh and Herb Keinon PA seeking to have Hamas removed from US, EU terror lists
The day has come in the light of all this for Joshua’s to arise among the Israeli politicians who dare to believe like Joshua and Caleb believed that this battle for the land which God promised as an everlasting inheritance only to one people can be won not by bowing to the self serving wishes and advices of Israel’s so called “friends” but as God advised Joshua only by Israel’s leaders “to be strong and of good courage.”
May God find such men and women at this desperate hour in Israel’s history, I pray!!
Every night when I go to bed, I pray that God would protect and give Israel peace. I wonder if I will wake up the next day to find another prophesy fulfilled (Ps 83) and to find out Palestine is is wiped off the map,” So why don’t all Christians join in the vigil to pray for Our Lord’s land, where he walked, taught and did amazing miracles. But the greatest of all miracles is when he died for you and me and rose the third day and He is coming back. This is a special place for Christians and we should all be united in pray for the land that is so precious to our Lord. The words Jesus spoke and said:
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen [doth gather] her brood under [her] wings, and ye would not! King James Bible

For centuries Christians have thought that somehow God replaced His beloved Israel with the gentile church. Nothing could be further from the truth, as any careful reader of Holy Scripture knows. We are to give glory to God for bringing the Jews back to their land. We are supposed to pay attention and comment favorably on these events that favor Zion.
Now, more than ever in modern times, the Church has the golden opportunity to demopnstrate repentance for the evil done to the Jewish people down through the centuries in the name of Christianity; and truly – by words and actions – stand with Israel. And, for Zion’s Sake do not be silent!
