After threatening Israel in Bint Jbeil Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad continued to tour south Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented on Ahmadinejad’s speech in Bint Jbeil in which he said that “the Zionists will not last long.”
“We’ve heard cursing and abomination from the Lebanon border today. The best answer to these blasphemies was given here 62 years ago,” Netanyahu said in Tel Aviv.
“We shall continue building and creating our country and will be prepared to defend it,” he added.
On Thursday, Ahmadinejad arrived at the village of Qana, another battle ground of the Second Lebanon War, where 60 people were killed, including many children, after a residential building collapsed as a result of Air Force bombings.
Ahmadinejad laid flowers on the graves of victims of the incident and of a bombing dating back to 1996’s Operation Grapes of Wrath. Later in the evening he is scheduled to reach the village of Maroun al-Ras, a stone’s throw from the Israeli border. Hezbollah’s TV network Al Manar reported that an Air Force MPRV was circling the area.
“Qana is living proof of Zionist atrocities in southern Lebanon,” Ahmadinejad told the crowd at the beginning of his speech.
“You are the victorious ones and your enemies – the enemies of humanity – are on the verge of collapse. As you stand proud the Zionist enemy is humiliated and defeated. On behalf of the Iranian people, I bless you and promise that our nation will stand by your side and that of the entire Lebanese nation under any circumstance.”
The Iranian president concluded his speech by expressing his hope that “God will eliminate the enemies of Lebanon and other dictators.”
Earlier on Thursday, Ahmadinejad addressed a large crowd in Bint Jbeil and said that “the world should know that eventually the Zionists will be forced to go and will not last long. They are enemies of humanity and will have no choice but to surrender. Palestine will be liberated through the force of faith.”
IDF sources noted that the alert level has not been raised in light of Ahamdinejad’s visit and that the forces are ready for any development which may unfold.
Meanwhile, residents of northern Israel did not appear fazed by the visit. A secretary of Moshav Avivim said residents can see an Iranian-sponsored boardwalk from their window which may serve as a Hezbollah post in future times of conflict.
Prime Minister Netanyahu has my highest esteem as a leader of Israel, and I encourage my readers to support him and the nation of Israel.
Just one suggestion to PM Netanyahu and the leaders of Israel.
When you reply to the various statements of madness like that of the president of Iran, I suggest you use the words of former Prime Minister Golda Meir on one occasion. She dressed as a man and traveled at night by car to meet leaders of Jordan to try to avert war with Jordan. They disdained her as a woman and as an Israeli. Her words in response (as I recall them):
“If you attack us, we will beat you !”
What a madman; he has twisted the truth completely inside-out. I am praying to God for strength, courage, wisdom and protection for the Prime Minister and for all the Israeli people!
What is to be must be. You bring curses upon yourself when you try to curse what God has blessed. Ambitious leaders who want to be perceived as heroes in the muslim world always pick on Israel. The last time I checked, one of them ended up in a rat hole. Let’s all wait and see the ultimate deliverance of the Lord. The six pointed star of David (the oldest flag in the world) flies today only because God said so.
He is not about to change His Mind
“Let God be true and every man a liar”… what God has promised, He will be faithful to DO. The radical jihadists have it all wrong; it is ISRAEL whom God will liberate and defend. My applause to PM Netanyahu for his response!! I only wish we in America had one like B.Netanyahu at our helm. Look UP!, for Jesus Christ, Israel’s Deliverer is coming SOON!!! To God be the glory.
